DE LIRIUM'S ORDER: 'Diagnosis' Enters Finnish Chart At No. 30

"Diagnosis", the critically acclaimed sophomore album by the Finnish deathsters DE LIRIUM'S ORDER, has entered the official Finnish album chart at position No. 30. This is quite remarkable considering the band's previous release, "Victim No. 52", was released over three years ago, and the musical style is much too vicious to be commercial even in Finland, the quintessential metal country.

Commented the band's leader, guitarist S.M. NekroC: "A chart entry is an enormous step for a death metal band. 'Diagnosis' is our best and rawest record, and I hope as many people as possible will get to hear it."

"Diagnosis" is the first full-length album released by Shadow World Records, a fresh Finnish record label that concentrates on the gloomier side of music. Naturally, the chart entry was a huge surprise to Shadow World staff as well as for the band.

"I firmly believe that good music will always find its listeners, no matter what the genre is," said Shadow World managing director Markus Laakso. "Although we have worked hard for this release, I wouldn’t have believed metal as forceful as this could enter the charts. Of course things like this bring confidence for the future releases as well."

"Diagnosis" was recorded at Studio Perkele and contains "a spectacle of varying pieces of death and thrash metal which can be only minorly compared to the previous releases," according to S.M. NekroC. "The new stuff really kicks ass as I really made it in a way I always have been yearning to do. The melody of sickest kind will be merged into the rhytms of complex death metal as it has always been the key idea behind DE LIRIUM'S ORDER."
